Getting Started with Dictation
1. Locate the Dictation button in the AI note summary toolbar. It will appear once a note is generated.
2. Click the Dictation button to begin dictating changes to your AI-generated note.
3. The button will change to a red "Stop" button, indicating that you're in dictation mode.
4. Speak clearly into your microphone to dictate your changes.
5. To exit dictation mode, click the red "Stop" button.
Tips for Effective Dictation
1. Speak clearly and at a moderate pace for the best recognition accuracy.
2. Pause briefly between commands and content to ensure proper interpretation.
3. Review your dictated text after each session to catch any potential errors.
4. Practice using the commands to become more efficient with the dictation feature.
Supported Voice Commands

Aura's dictation feature supports various commands to enhance your note-taking experience. Here's a list of currently supported commands:
Punctuation
- "Period" = .
- "Comma" = ,
- "Colon" = :
- "Semicolon" = ;
- "Hyphen" or "Dash" = -
- "Slash" = /
- "Question mark" = ?
- "Exclamation mark" = ! or "Exclamation point" !
- "Percent" = %
Quotation Marks
- "Open quote" or "Begin quote" = "
- "Close quote" or "End quote" = "
- "Open single quote" or "Begin single quote" = '
- "Close single quote" or "End single quote" = '
Formatting
- "New Line" or "Next Line" = Adds a new line
- "New Paragraph" = Adds a new paragraph
Capitalization
- "Caps On" = Starts capitalizing the first letter of each word
- "Caps Off" = Stops capitalizing the first letter of each word
- "All Caps On" = Starts capitalizing all letters
- "All Caps Off" = Stops capitalizing all letters
- "No Caps On" = Starts lower-casing all letters
- "No Caps Off" = Stops lower-casing all letters
Paranthesis
