What is SMS MFA?

SMS Multi-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Insight Health account by sending a verification code to your phone number during the login process. This ensures that even if someone has your password, they can't access your account without also having access to your phone.

Setting Up SMS MFA

Step 1: Access Security Settings

  1. Log in to your Insight Health account

  2. Navigate to your account settings (usually found in the top-right corner)

  3. Select "Privacy & Security" from the menu options

Step 2: Enable SMS Login

  1. Find the "SMS login" section in the security settings

  2. Click the "Set up SMS login" button on the right side

  3. If you see "No phone number set yet," this confirms you need to complete the setup

Step 3: Add Your Phone Number

  1. Enter your mobile phone number when prompted

  2. Ensure the number is correct as verification codes will be sent to this number

  3. Click "Continue" or "Verify" to proceed

Step 4: Verify Your Phone Number

  1. You'll receive a text message with a verification code

  2. Enter this code on the verification screen

  3. Once verified, you'll see confirmation that SMS MFA has been successfully set up

Using SMS MFA When Logging In

  1. Enter your email or username and password as usual

  2. You'll automatically receive a text message with a verification code

  3. Enter the code on the login screen

  4. Once verified, you'll be granted access to your account
